Biddeford Maine is a city with a unique history, and within it are 3 prominent haunts: The Biddeford textile mills, The Biddeford City Theater, and where we visited in this episode, McArthur Library.
This investigation was particularly intriguing in that it’s been through countless identities before its current one as a restaurant. First built in 1783 this building was originally a family home, “The Thompson House”, before being enlarged in the mid 1800’s and turned into a tavern and dance hall.
The Limington Farm was our first true client case as a team. Though we’ve had plenty since then, we’ve opted to leave most off camera due to sensitivity, so this was truly an insightful experience to review as part of the Haunt ME series.
This was an unprecedented opportunity for us. The Pepperell Mill in Biddeford was the life blood for the small city during the 1800’s and early 1900’s as the textile industry in Maine thrived.
At a 200 year old church, we had an incredible opportunity to first experience a legitimately historical haunting. St. Dominic’s Cathedral has incredible roots in the Portland community, being a hub for Irish immigrants.
